Full-grain leather refers to the outermost layer of the hide, which contains the tightest fiber density. Unlike corrected or 'genuine' leather, full-grain is never sanded down or buffed to remove natural marks, retaining its raw strength, breathability, and natural texture.
As full-grain leather absorbs oils, light, and wear, it develops a deep, rich patina — a natural sheen and character variation that makes every pair unique. Corrected-grain shoes split and peel over time; full-grain shoes simply grow more beautiful.
We source our hides from select tanneries in Northern Italy that adhere to strict environmental standards. These tanneries use natural vegetable and chrome tanning processes that preserve the raw characteristics of the leather.
